"I use a fabric softener with hot water and clean over all my skirtings and kitchen cupboards, it leaves them clean and the house smelling amazing."

And it's not the first time in recent weeks cleaning fans have been sharing cheap and cheerful ways to keep their homes smelling fresh for longer.

Elnaz Hamai previously posted her top tips to keep your bathroom smelling fresh.

First up, she advised hanging a eucalyptus branch in the shower.

While it may seem rather random, Elnaz revealed there's logic behind the madness and explained: "The steam releases the essential oil from the plant.”

Next, she suggested a simple 40p bargain buy that can help to remove those nasty odours from your toilet.

According to Elnaz, all you need to do is add one cup of white vinegar to the tank and voilà - it's as good as new!

And let's face it, there's nothing worse than the stench of bin filling your home.

But no fear...because the cleaning guru has the perfect solution.

“Just add some essential oil to the cotton ball and leave it on the bottom of the trash can," she suggested.

Elsewhere, the experts at Fabulosa revealed the £2 cleaning hack that will turn dirty grout back to white in an instant.

Instead of forking out a small fortune on pricey cleaning products, they advised getting rid of grime by mixing a tablespoon of liquid soap and another household essential: baking soda.

And perhaps the best part of all? They claim the combination of the products won't only leave your grout sparkling, but it's create a "luscious smell" that lasts.
