I transformed my locks from frizzy and short to long and smooth with 9 lifestyle changes – but trolls say it’s genetics
WITH so many haircare products on the market, it’s so hard to know what to invest in to make your tresses feel glossy.
But according to Justyna Nowak, who underwent an enviable hair transformation, there’s plenty of FREE lifestyle changes you can make to get your dream hair.
Alongside weekly oiling, the content creator overhauled some of her daily habits to bring life into her locks.
She says the decisions helped her “go from frizzy, short and damaged to smooth, long and healthy hair”.
Among these were never sleeping with wet hair and placing it into a protective, loose plait before hitting the pillow.
What’s more, Justyna massages her scalp every single day - and she’ll happily do it with “clean fingers” if she doesn’t have a scalp massaging tool on hand.

The content creator rarely places her hair into tight or slick ‘dos (sorry clean girl aesthetic fans!), opting instead for “loose hairstyles like braids or claw clips”.
“We don’t want receding hairlines,” she said.
Justyna, who is originally from Poland but now lives in Canada, also cherry picks the items that touch her hair.
She only sleeps on silk pillow cases and exclusively ties her locks up with silk hair-ties, and only dries her hair with microfibre towels.
What’s more, she only gets the ends trimmed twice a year - a far cry from the eight to twelve week trim recommended by most hairdressers.
Justyna also urged women to clean their hairbrushes regularly and “eat less fast food and sugar” to improve their hair health.
The hair-fluencer regularly shares before and after pictures of her hair but is sometimes met with criticism.
Trolls claim that her luscious locks are “due to genetics” and claim that you can’t heal your hair through oiling and lifestyle changes.
“Genetics are definitely important but you can improve your hair with good haircare,” Justyna retaliates.
Her videos have seen her tot up a whopping 343,000 followers on TikTok who are hooked to her hacks and tips.
