After his official introduction with Josie Gibson, the duo were left to speculate about their prospects in the Jungle.

Josie then joked with Nigel and said in jest: "It can't be worse than Brexit can it!"

During the conversation, the body language expert explained that Nigel's actions had sparked a possible feud between him and Josie.

Speaking on behalf of Betfair Bingo, Darren Stanton revealed that Josie was starting to get on 'Nigel’s wick a little bit'.

She made a quip about Brexit, which he laughed off. Even though it came from a place of sarcasm.

The expert added that Nigel 'didn't appreciate the joke'.

Dan revealed: "I could tell that Nigel flashed a fake smile. It’s clear he didn’t appreciate the joke. I definitely think the banter will be a reoccuring theme, however I think Nigel will soon find it really boring, really quickly. If it carries on, he’ll just challenge it head on."

The body language expert continued: "That’s the sort of guy he is. We’ll see how it goes between those two, but it will be interesting to see their banter as the show develops."

Nigel may be acting differently from his true self despite "embracing" and "holding his own" at camp, the expert said.

Dan also said that the ex-politician may have his 'shutters up' and 'isn't giving too much away'.

“It was quite surprising to see Nigel jump straight into it and embrace camp life. I think he’s going to be an interesting person to observe. I think he’s definitely got his shutters up and hasn’t shown his proper self yet," Dan revealed.

The expert added: "As the days progress, we’re going to get to know the man, more so than the persona. At the moment, he’s just acting like a typical politician and not giving too much away."

Dan compared Nigel's behavior to UK politician, Matt Hancock's - who wasn't liked by viewers early on, but still did well in the competition.

He said: "It’s going to be interesting to see how he develops once he settles into camp. I think it will be a similar situation to Matt Hancock during last year’s show."

Dan continued: "Viewers didn't like Matt to begin with, but he embraced it and did really well. I think Nigel will do the same. He doesn’t appear fazed at all."

Despite Nigel having his guard up at the moment, the expert believes he is still 'holding his own'.

Dan concluded: "Whether he’s putting the shutters up or being authentic, it does appear that he’s holding his own.”

Nigel will be doing the first eating trial of the series with YouTuber Nella Rose in tonight's episode.

Nigel and Nella were picked by the public to take on the first trial - and it looks like it won’t disappoint.

In a first look at tonight’s episode, Nella is seen laughing at Nigel while he tucks into a Marga –teet-a, which is made from a camel udder with a cows teat.

As he stars chowing down, Nella gasps through giggles: “Oh Farage.”

Nigel didn’t seem surprised when he discovered he would be taking on the gruesome trial.
