Why is Nigel Farage exempt from Bushtucker trials on I’m A Celebrity and which challenges can’t he do?

NIGEL Farage has been labelled as one of the most shocking I'm A Celebrity contestants of this year.

He entered the jungle alongside other well known faces but he won't be able to do some of the Bushtucker trials.

Which trials is Nigel Farage exempt from?

Nigel Farage announced that he would be exempt from multiple Bushtucker trials while he is on I'm A Celebrity.

He is unable to take part in most physical challenges such as any that are required to lift heavy weights.

However, this doesn't mean he can't do any trials as he was voted to do the first one alongside YouTuber Nella Rose.

He was voted by the public to complete the Jungle Pizzaria task where the celeb duo have to eat disgusting pizzas.

Understanding that he might not be the public's favourite on the show, Farage said: "

Farage has also admitted: “The downsides – well look. It could be a complete, total car crash. A disaster.

"I might finish up having a fight with somebody – who knows! I might get voted out on the first round, I don’t know.

"But I know that things could go very badly wrong and you’re on camera 24 hours a day, seven days a week for up to 22 days that the contestants are in the jungle. So of course a lot could go wrong."

Why can't Nigel Farage do all Bushtucker trials?

Farage is unable to do most Bushtucker trials due to previous injuries he has sustained.

Speaking about the situation, he said: "Anything involving weightlifting, I’d be out because I’ve obviously had some quite serious physical injuries and neck reconstructions and goodness knows what else.

"So they are fully aware that I’m a little bit damaged when it comes to bodily structure. But having said that, I can still do most things."

Nigel said that he isn't fazed by the Bushtucker Trials and is planning to get on with it when he is voted for them.

He said: "Well, you know what? I'll just do my best. It's all I can do.

"I doubt that any of the trials are actually going to kill me, although I don't think they'll all be a bag of fun.

"But hey look, I signed up for this. It's in for a penny in for a pound. So let's go."

What happened to Nigel Farage?

In the run up to the general election in 2010, Farage was involved in a plane crash, and suffered multiple injuries as a result.

He suffered from a a punctured lung, two chipped vertebrae, several fractured ribs and a fractured sternum.

Despite the small plane flipping upside down, he managed to walk away.

However, he did need to have major surgery several years later.

When he was in his 20s, Nigel beat cancer and missed death again when he was run over by a car.
