But a number of supermarkets have said they are shaking up their opening hours on Sunday or Monday to give staff time off as well.

Tesco
Tesco has also said it is mixing up its opening hours on Sunday.

The retailer said the move will let thousands of colleagues get home or to the pub in time for kick-off.
Workers won't be docked pay for the time off.
All online shopping orders already placed for Sunday evening will be honoured and delivered as normal.
Tesco Express and Superstores in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland will be operating normal opening hours on Sunday.

Tesco shut its Express stores at 7:45pm to give staff enough time to get to the pub to catch kick off.
