‘It makes me heave,’ trolls shame Megan McKenna for her spag bol recipe which ‘Italians would immediately reject’
SINGER Megan McKenna has been shamed by trolls after sharing what her “death row” meal would be with her followers.
The 31 year old uploaded a fun light-hearted video, giving her fans an insight into one of her “favourite meals” but some fans don’t approve.
Although she is famous for being a reality start, Megan is now turning her head to cooking and has a passion for sharing her recipes and meals with her 2.7 million followers on Instagram.
The former Celeb Big Brother star has revealed that her top meal is spaghetti bolognese, with garlic bread on the side.
In the caption of the video, she also added: “My death row meal would be this exact dinner…but with French fries.”
In the video, Megan starts off by putting “a bit of oil” in the gluten free spaghetti “so it doesn’t stick together.”

She adds: “Also, I always just cook it al dente because I feel like gluten free pasta can break and get a bit stodgy, so I always do it a little bit underdone.”
Megan made a “fine tomato bolognese” sauce to go with and she always puts a “beef stock cube, tomato puree, tinned tomatoes, mixed herbs, onions.”
She adds: “Yeah I season it really well.”
Megan then puts a bit of rocket on the side of her plate, as she feels like she “just has to have a bit of green on every dinner I have or I just feel like it’s such a beige dinner.”
She then adds balsamic glaze, before getting garlic bread out of the oven and adding it to the side, and finishing it with Parmesan cheese.
The video has since gone viral, gaining over 20k likes, with even This Morning presenter Alison Hammond liking it.
However, not everyone was a fan as some trolls were quick to blast her cooking.
One wrote: “This actually gives me the heave.
“Please mix your dry spaghetti in with your sauce.”
Another added: “In Italy this dish would have been immediately rejected…”
A third said: “Pasta needs to be mixed into the sauce. Not dry pasta with sauce on top.”
Others were surprised over her big portion of food, with one asking: “Do you really eat it all?!”
To which some people refused to believe that Megan would, and replied saying: “No.”
But it wasn’t all hate, as there were many who loved the “delicious” looking meal.
Another added: “I love the fact your portion sizes are massive ! Just like my house.”

A third said: “May I ask who taught you to cook ? Or was it a passion you had and improved over time learning so many delicious dishes.
“I love your content as it’s full of passion to your food and definitely eat with your eyes if you know the expression.”
This isn’t the first time Megan has come under fire for her cooking, as she has previously had to defend herself from all-comers online.
She was forced to hit back at trolls, after sharing a recent breaded chicken with tomato and mozzarella pasta dish.
First she had to respond to people saying her fiance, 26-year-old footballer Oliver Burke, should cook for her instead.
She hit back and compared her to a "70s housewife".
Who is Megan McKenna?
Megan McKenna was born on September 26, 1992, and is an English television personality and singer.
She shot to fame on Ex On The Beach (2015–2016) but received wider attention for appearing on Celebrity Big Brother (2016).
But it was on The Only Way Is Essex that she really became a household name.
She was on the ITV2 reality show from 2016 until 2017.
The star launched her music career in 2018 when she released her debut studio album, Story of Me.
Megan then had to defend herself after someone said her dish was a “heart attack” on the plate.
