“The #1 mistake people make when they cook pasta,” they wrote over the clip, where viewers could see a stove top.

They then spooned the pasta directly out of a pot with boiled water and into a second pot full of tomato sauce.

“Add your pasta to the sauce NOT the sauce on your pasta,” they continued.

“Don’t be afraid to add the pasta water to the sauce. This is your glue."

TikTok user @montes.sauce added:“Get a spider strainer spoon. Throw away your strainer. Thank me later.”

People were quick to comment as many were left divided over the hack.

“Absolutely not. Pasta & sauce shouldn’t be in the same pot. Every person chooses how much sauce to add,” one person argued.

Another said: “i dont do that because I dont like leftover soggy pasta. I let everybody add the amount they want.”

A third shared: “No, then you have too much sauce on your pasta. Adding a little sauce to coat pasta to prevent sticking and then add sauce when plating.”

But others were completely for the method as one person said: “Thx I’m going to try it this way,” followed by a smiling face emoji.

Another shared: “yesss the pasta water makes the sauce smooth instead of clumpy!!”

A third posted: “That’s actually why you should cook your pasta Al dente. So that they finish cooking IN the sauce”.

Meanwhile, one person complained: “Its not that hard to make pasta why do ppl need tutorials”.
