While the age six shorts were marked up as being £19.99, they also had the label Pep & Co inside.

As fashion fans will probably know, Pep & Co is the clothing brand most widely sold by Poundland - although it's also sold in some standalone stores as well.

Sharing the pictures of the shorts, which were also shown as being age 4 to 5, despite the "6 years" label, Jurga wrote on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group on Facebook: "Today I went TK Maxx and saw this!!!!!!

"So be very careful what you buy in that shop, because that is not fair. I was shocked!!!"

"For people who don’t know what is Pepco, it’s a brand which they sell in Poundland!!!" she added.

The shorts also had the security tag on it from the TK Maxx stores, and listed the RRP as £75.

"RRP £7.50 more like," one person wrote in the comments section.

"Oh, come on! Wow!" another raged.

"By the looks of it, it’s our old brand," a third added.

"We’re no longer Pep&co it’s just Pepco now.

"They used to be between £2.50-£5 for them!"

As someone else wrote: "This is actually a bad return!

"This is not sold in TK Maxx and the person who handled the return obviously didn't check tickets.

"This is not normal in TK Maxx!

"If you took it took the till it would of been taken off the floor!"

"I reckon someone has pulled a fast one, returned them for whatever brand they bought, and the staff just didn't notice!" another added.

"Got these for £1.50 in my local pound land for my little girl the other day," someone else commented.

As another said: "Somebody had swapped them lol and had a nice pair of jeans for free when they returned them."
