Britney Spears makes huge move towards reconciliation with her sister Jamie Lynn at Christmas
IT’S the time of year for peace on earth and goodwill to all men – and Britney Spears is taking that sentiment seriously.
Insiders have told us that the American pop star is keen to reach out to her sister Jamie Lynn over the festive period in a bid to finally bury the hatchet following their hellish relationship over the past few years.
It seems that Jamie Lynn has Ant and Dec to thank, because it was her short but emotional stint on I’m A Celebrity which made Britney think twice.
That’s despite years of mud-slinging, which included the Toxic singer saying her sister was complicit in her conservatorship and that she had “embarrassed me and hurt me deeply.”
A source said: “Britney was supportive of Jamie Lynn going into the jungle and she kept across her time in Australia with some interest.
“A lot of water has passed under that bridge and given it is Christmas, Britney is keen to try and put some of their past issues to bed.

“Jamie Lynn barely spoke about Britney in Australia and when she did, it was all totally positive and glowing.
“They are sisters at the end of the day and even though they’ve had their fair share of run-ins over the years, it is time to finally see if they can put their past to rest.
“Britney has said she’d like to meet up with Jamie Lynn if they could make it happen.
“She spent time with her mum in the summer and now she’d like to see if she could do the same with Jamie Lynn.
“It’s baby steps but it all seems positive.”
During her time in the jungle, Jamie Lynn confessed she had received Britney’s blessing to take part in the show.
When asked about their relationship, she simply said: “I think every family fights and has their stuff but I talked to her before I came here and we love each other.”
We’re sure a glass of mulled wine and a belly full of turkey will help ease things along too.
