I’m lazy but wanted posh panelling in my house so did it using £25 IKEA buys and a pair of scissors instead
GIVING any room in your house a makeover can end up costing nothing short of a small fortune.
But one savvy homeowner has told how she gave her bedroom a whole new look on a budget - thanks to a bargain buy from Ikea and a pair of scissors.
Panelling is a popular trend to update any space - but when you've not got the tools or the knowledge for the job, it's not as easy as you may think.
That's why Gina decided to make her life easier by purchasing several Edsbruk frames from Ikea, which cost £29.99 each, instead.
In a clip posted to TikTok (@gceozturk), she says: "Wall panelling hack with Ikea Edsbruk…for lazy people."
The DIY whizz could then be seen spacing the 50 x 70cm photo frames out along the bottom of her bedroom wall.

Next, she simply attaches them securely using Bison construction adhesive, which is suitable on wood, stone, plastic or metal.
It wasn't long before the post went viral, racking up a whopping 214k views and several comments from very impressed homeowners up and down the country.
"Looks great!" praised one.
A second enthused: "Brilliant idea!"
A third commented: "Omg this is genius!"
Meanwhile, a fourth wrote: "That is so clever!"
Another added: "Looks really good!"
And a further chimed in: "Love this!"
However, one person wasn't quite so impressed and pointed out: "The B&Q panelling costs €24 for 2 meters?? But one frame cost £25 (€30)?? That’s a very expensive Ikea hack?
Gina replied: "Yes you are right it’s not cheap at all. I just like to thing quick and I can not use tools like a saw, so I did it like this."
Another suggested using the same panelling hack but applying it to a door rather than bedroom wall.
Gina responded: "Busy doing this right now - my husband is afraid I will panel the whole house!"
