I’m child-free by choice – cruel trolls tell me I’ve not got a purpose, but I’m actually winning in life

WHILE some people have always dreamt about having a large family, for others, being surrounded by screaming babies and toddler tantrums is their worst nightmare.

At the end of the day, the decision to have children or not is a personal choice - and not always an easy one to make.

In a clip shared to TikTok (@iamstephanienoble), a woman named Stephanie, who is adamant she doesn't want children, revealed the harsh judgement she's received for being outspoken on the topic.

"I'm child free by choice," she explains.

"And everyone always says like, 'what's your purpose? If you don't have kids, what's your purpose?'

"My purpose is getting my nails done, going shopping, treating myself."

She then proudly holds up one of her most recent purchases and enthuses: " Look at this new bag I just got from Goyard - stunning!"

"Um, this new sweatshirt I got from Alo...being sober, travelling, I don't know, taking naps. Have you ever taken a nap? It's like the funnest thing ever. It's so nice. I enjoy naps a lot.

"So don't say I don't have purpose just cause I don't have kids. How dare you!"

Instead, Stephanie says she's always dreamed of being the "rich auntie" - adding that people who slam her decision are likely just "jealous" of her lifestyle.

The post has since garnered a whopping 1.7 million views and hundreds of comments from social media users up and down the country.

"As a mother of two kids, I fully support your decision to not do this lol," wrote one.

A second penned: "It's giving the rich auntie!"

Stephanie replied: "My dream! I have a two-year-old nephew and I'll leave everything to him!"

A third commented: "Same here, I honestly feel they are jealous we're doing all the things they no longer can.

"Travel, sleep in, eat whatever, basically do what we want."

Stephanie responded: "Exactly!"

Meanwhile, a fourth added: "Childfree here - going to take a nap now …. I'm exhausted from doing my nails and shopping."

Another pointed out: "It’s so hurtful when people say this. I’m childfree not by choice so being told I have no purpose because I don't have a child is so hurtful."

Stephanie replied: "THIS!!!! This is a way more important conversation. We can absolutely have purpose."

A further added: "I’ll be 40 in a few months and absolutely love being childfree! I get to sleep in tomorrow with no alarm set.

"Then I’m going thrifting and getting my nails done. I love my freedom."

And one more chimed in: "Being fully rested and relaxed 24/7."

Stephanie responded: "Right? Sign me up!"
