In her viral video, Tjaša (@tjasa.uredidom) gave her viewers a glimpse of what her balcony looked like before she did it up.

The TikToker had crammed an outdoor bench, a storage box, and empty plant pots into the corner of the space.

She decided to remove the seating altogether and rearranged the wooden storage boxes to create a DIY bench against the wall.

Tjaša used the $110 Nämmarö Light Brown-Stained Storage Box from Ikea for her homemade set-up.

She painted the boxes a dark brown and varnished them before placing them side-by-side with a small gap in between to form her outdoor nook.

For a comfy finish, she covered the bench with a large outdoor cushion.

To finish off the seat, she placed cream cushions at the back and a blue decorative pillow on top.

She also added a mesh curtain which she draped over the railing for privacy.

The DIYer accessorized her new and improved space with an outdoor rug, a table, a lamp, and a potted plant.

Tjaša also placed a black hammock weave outdoor chair for additional seating space.

To make the area even more cozy she added a furry blanket to the seat.

She revealed that the small balcony makeover only took her a day to complete.

Tjaša tried out the homemade bench for her followers at the end of the clip.

She also pointed out that the DIY seating doubled as storage for her various pots and gardening equipment.

The multi-functional piece meant she was able to maximize her smaller space.

She explained that she would be able to make the most of the seating area since it "rarely rains directly on the balcony."
