The 3 moves that’ll save Katie Price’s reputation & the apology she’s got to start with – according to PR pro
KATIE PRICE has been at the centre of countless scandals over the years, from accusations of animal abuse to being slammed for her choice of parenting style.
And the 46-year-old appears to be up to her eyeballs at the moment, after she was arrested on Thursday for failing to turn up to a bankruptcy hearing.
Katie has also lost her beloved £2 million Mucky Mansion and six cars amid the £760,000 bankruptcy fight.
The mum-of-five's reputation seems to be on the floor at present, with holidaymakers claiming that she has "ruined" their holidays by relaxing by the pool with "incisions weeping with pus" after she travelled to Turkey for her sixth facelift last week.
But can the former glamour model turn it around and win the hearts of the British public again?
Fabulous spoke to Megan Boyle, Head of PR at TAL Agency, to find out the exact steps that Katie needs to take to pull her reputation out of the gutter.

Bankruptcy Scandal
Katie Price has said little about her bankruptcy, and in a statement after she was arrested on Thursday, instead of apologising for failing to attend the hearing, instead said she was being "humiliated".
She said: "I have and I am continuing to cooperate with the relevant people on matters to the best of my ability which will be addressed after my return from work.
"Despite consistent stories trying to humiliate me on my personal misfortunes, I am neither embarrassed or ashamed.
"I own my situation and I am trying my best to work my way out of it and put matters right."
Since appearing in court on Friday, Katie has jetted off another trip, to the Isle Of Wight, after being warned that she mustn't go on holiday again before her next court date .
However, Megan said that the best thing that Katie can do to try and repair her reputation, is to address the issues head on.
She said: "Addressing the bankruptcy issues head on needs to be Price’s priority.
"The first step is to begin with an open and honest statement, acknowledging the seriousness of her actions and expressing her reasons for her failure to attend the hearing. Accepting responsibility is key.
She continued: “Engaging with a financial advisor or counsellor could help Katie develop a sustainable financial plan and avoid future debt-related issues, by learning solid money management skills.”
Accusations of Animal Abuse
Over the past few years, seven of Katie's pets are believed to have died in her care, including five dogs, a horse and a chameleon.
Katie Price - FOUR recent court battles

KATIE Price has had her fair share of brushes with the law. Here we detail four of those:
- December 2021: Katie avoided jail for flipping her BMW in a smash in Horsham, while under the influence of drink and drugs. She was instead handed a 16-week prison sentence suspended for a year, 100 hours community service and ordered to attend 20 rehab sessions.
- The cash-strapped mum-of-five was first declared bankrupt in 2019 in a bankruptcy court, over unpaid debts of £3.2 million
- Katie was declared bankrupt by a bankruptcy court for a second time in March over an unpaid tax bill of £761,994.05
- May 2024: Katie was served an eviction notice by the courts relating to her Mucky Mansion home following her second bankruptcy.
In 2020, her dog Rolo was killed after being suffocated by an electric armchair, and in 2023, her beloved protection dog was killed in a road accident.
This has led to animal charity Peta to offer a £5,000 award to the former glamour model, if she promises never to own an animal again.
In a letter to the reality star, PETA Vice President Elisa Allen said: "While your intentions may be good, the ever-growing number of animals who have either died under your supervision or been given away is impossible to ignore, and people are rightly concerned.
"Whatever you may offer as reasons for their suffering, relinquishment, or demise, the fact is that you are consistently harming these sensitive, sentient individuals, and I hope you agree that this is a solution."
Megan suggested that to restore her reputation in the eyes of animal lovers, Katie needs to address the deaths in a heartfelt apology.
The PR expert said: " Transparency and honesty about the circumstances are key, avoiding defensive or evasive language.
"Proactive engagement with animal welfare charities is essential to address their concerns and come to a resolution; there will be many out there willing and able to work with Katie.
She continued: "Seeking professional help, such as animal care training and mental health support, can also contribute to her rehabilitation and show a commitment to providing better care.
"Then it’s up to her PR team to engage in strategic media management, including controlled messaging and limited interviews, to help reshape public perception.”
Parenting Criticisms
Katie has been constantly criticised for the way she has raised her children over the years, from putting her nine-year-old Bunny in heels, to letting her kids loose with her credit card.
Megan said that the best thing for Katie to do to address these criticisms, is to explain the reasoning behind her choice of parenting methods.
She said: "While she owes no one an explanation, unfortunately being in the public eye leads people to expect it, so she could start by opening a public dialogue about her parenting choices, explaining her perspective on self-expression."
She added: “Restoring Katie's reputation is a challenging task, due to her history of controversial behaviour in the past, but it’s not impossible. To rebuild her image, she could first focus on authenticity by being open about her personal struggles and growth, which can really resonate with audiences and help to re-humanise her image. Sharing past vulnerabilities, struggles, and triumphs can help build empathy and understanding.
“Price needs to build a positive image, rather than giving people something negative to talk about. This could be done through charity work and philanthropy, to show a commitment to giving back, as well as focusing on her children and family life to display a more stable image.

“And ultimately, Price and her PR efforts will need to prioritise consistency - rebuilding a reputation doesn’t happen overnight - and any positive actions will need to be sustained in order to become habits rather than a stunt.”
