‘It was absolutely vile’ woman shows off epic council house transformation & people are stunned ‘it was left like that’
A WOMAN has left people totally stunned at her council house’s total makeover.
The mother, named Phoebe, explained that her flat was left in a mess when she moved in.
However, the DIY enthusiast gave the property a mega transformation - all whilst on a budget.
Posting online, Phoebe gave social media users a close-up before and after look at the home's transformation.
Initially, Phoebe showed off the living area and kitchen, both of which were covered in mess, as well as the toilet that was in desperate need of some TLC.
Not only this, but one of the bedrooms appeared to have colourful pen and paint covering the wall too, whilst the hallway looked as though it needed some tidying up and upgrading.

Stunned at the home, the mum wrote: “My council flat when we got the keys.”
She then added: “You don't even want to know what was on the walls.”
Moments later, we saw Phoebe’s finished home, as she claimed: “Something to be very proud of.”
What was initially very messy and unloved, has now been transformed into an incredibly tidy, modern and chic home.
The kitchen was given some love and given a glow up with paint, new worktops and fresh flooring.
Meanwhile, the living room is totally unrecognisable and is now super cosy and trendy, with beautiful beige furnishings.
As well as this, the DIY fan also gave a close-up look at her stunning bedroom, as well as her child’s nursery - both of which look immaculate.
The savvy shopper later explained that she managed to keep the costs down on her council house renovation, by nabbing bargains from Dunelm and Facebook Marketplace.

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @_phoebeshome, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly racked up 38,100 views.
Social media users were left very impressed with Phoebe’s DIY home overhaul and many took to the comments to express this.
One person said: “Your house looks great.”
To this, Phoebe replied: “Thank you lovely, we’re getting there.”
Another added: “[You’ve] done a fab job with your flat.”
A third commented: “You go girl.”

But at the same time, many TikTok users were totally stunned at the state of Phoebe’s flat in the first place.
One user claimed: “Council should be ashamed of themselves, letting you move in like that, and so should the previous tenants.”
Whilst a second wrote: “Wait. You actually got the keys and it was like that?????
“Wow. And they’d have the cheek to charge people leaving a property like that!! That’s awful! Looking lovely now though.”
To this, Phoebe confirmed: “Yes. It was absolutely vile. You don’t even wanna know what was on the walls.
“Honestly the back garden was awful too but they refused to move the sofas ect out. Never heard anything like it, so bad, but thank you lovely.”
Meanwhile, another penned: “I don’t believe that, properties are left empty for several days and checked they wouldn’t give it to you like that.”

But to this, the mother clapped back and explained: “I accepted it as it was and I had to sign something to say that I would do the rest of the work, purely because it would have taken them forever and a day to do and I needed to be in there fast.”
