‘It’s a jumble sale, absolutely tragic’ people say as shoppers fume at New Look’s ‘cheap looking but expensive’ clothes
NEW Look shoppers have been left totally divided after a woman showed off the retailers’ ‘weird’ and ‘cheap’ looking items.
The woman questioned who was buying clothes from New Look, as she claimed that even her nan wouldn’t wear most of it.
Posting on social media, a fashion and beauty fan who posts under the username ‘Aesthetically Yours’, took her followers around her local New Look.
She said: “I mean, it's a genuine question, because let's face it, when was the last time you said to someone, ‘oh, I like your skirt, where's that from?’ and she said, ‘New Look’. Come on, when was the last time?
“I mean, ‘oh, do you like my jacket? It's from New Look’, - said no one, for a long time.
“So I thought, I'm gonna go in there. And I was actually quite surprised.”

While she was impressed with the jumpers, the prices of the cardigans and blazers left her open-mouthed, as she shared: “There's quite a few nice little bits. Check these little jumpers out. Got them in some really nice colours. £12.99, they're quite nice.
“So I had a little mooch around. Yeah, there's some not so nice jumpers in there, but you know, we've all got different styles.
“They’ve got the same kind of cardigans as they had in Primark. These are £25.99 - a little bit pricey.
“They’ve got the jean skirts in there that are everywhere.
“And quite a nice blazer. But I thought, do you know what - that's really quite pricey for £45.99.
“There's a little bit of a sale going on in there as well.”
As the shopper spotted a grey shacket, she asked: “I mean, what is that?
“There was some really, really weird things.”
The woman also wasn’t keen on the holiday clothes, as she claimed: “I mean, come on, who's gonna wear a dress like that?
“This is when it gets really bad. Who is gonna wear this? I mean, why is it even taking space?
“Why is it hanging up? I mean, my nan won't even wear that. What is that?”
Despite this, the brunette beauty did find a pair of trousers that she liked, as she added: “These I loved. I actually bought these.”
But the purchases stopped there - as the printed dresses left this shopper speechless.
She continued to question: “What is that? I mean, come on. Has New Look gone for the older style people?”

Despite this, the shopper was impressed by the swimwear and a pair of nude sandals, as she claimed: “They’ve got loads of swimwear in there. There were quite a few nice little bits of swimwear to be fair. I'm gonna give New Look that.
“And I love these [sandals]. I might actually go back and get these because I'm thinking they would go nice with those trousers that I got.
“Loads of hats in there, some really nice ones.
“Loads of costume jewellery in there as well. Might go back because I see some really nice little bracelets in there.
“The shoes - I wasn't impressed with the shoes. The shoes weren't good. You get better shoes in Primark.”
The shopper then found a long-sleeved dress that had been reduced, as she asked: “What is that? What the hell is that?
“Who would even wear that? Come on New Look. Get a grip.
“Nice little bags in there. You know, there were a few nice ones, but not too sure about some of them.
“I really like this one - it's kind of a green colour. I thought, ‘yeah, that's nice’, but then when I got really close up, it looks a bit cheap.”

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @aesthetically_yours_x, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly racked up 80,300 views in just 22 hours.
But social media users were divided at the woman’s claims - while many shared the same opinion, others couldn’t disagree more.
One person said: “I think the quality has changed. It’s much cheaper looking and expensive for the quality these days.”
Another added: “It’s become a jumble sale of different brands.”
A third commented: “The New look where I live is absolutely tragic."
Whilst someone else claimed: “Cheap with an expensive label.”
However, not everyone was on the same page, as many New Look fans flooded the comments to disagree with the shoppers claims.
One shopper explained: “Love New Look. I wear a lot of their dresses and tops. The sizing is so much better than most shops.”
A second asked: “I go there all the time, what's up with it?”
Someone else wrote: “They do lovely midi dresses in the spring/summer time. I've got loads. Also love their jeans selection.”
Whilst another New Look fan expressed: “80% of my wardrobe is in fact from New Look.”
