I’ve saved £10k as a single mum-of-two in 12 months by sticking to the Why/How method – I still went out for dinner too
WITH the cost-of-living crisis causing prices to skyrocket, it's little surprise people are struggling to save.
But one savvy woman named Natalye has shared four clever money-saving hacks that helped her to save £10k in 12 months.
In the clip posted to TikTok (@theprosperousmother), Natalye says: "Here's how I save £10,000 in 12 months a a single mum-of-two."
Starting with number one, she explains that you "have to think about your why."
The money-saving whizz continues: "Your why has to be so big, you cannot deviate from it.
"Anytime you think about your why is going to motivate you to keep on going."

Next, she advises creating a separate bank account for you to put your savings in.
"Make sure that the payments are automated and this is so you don't get tempted in using that money for something else," she explains.
Sharing her third point, Natalye recommends eliminating all of your luxury spending.
"But you only want to do this for a certain amount of time and this will bring us to point four," she says.
And last but not least, she points out that you should think about creating another income to supplement your savings.
"I had to save £10k in 12 months and I knew that me limiting my luxuries for that long wasn't going to cut it for me," she explains.
"So I created a side hustle in a career that I was already in and that helped speed things up and it got me to my £10k total."
The mum-of-two notes that while it got her into a place where she could save for a holiday, it also helped to to maintain a "certain standard of living."
"So I could still go out with my friend's every now and then," she says.
"I could still afford to pay for my children's extra curricular activities, I could afford to pay for their tutors, I was still able to live a good life."
Natalye concludes: "I think we need to think about yes it's great to budget and to cut back on expenses, but we also need to get into the mindset of, how am I bringing money in?
"How can I increase my income - what can I do? You need to start fixing your mindset."
The post has since gone viral, garnering a whopping 86k views and several comments, with many grateful social media users quick to praise Natalye for sharing her money-saving tips.
