‘Unacceptable!’ fume Coronation Street fans after whopping five days without soap amid ITV schedule shake-up
CORONATION Street fans have slammed ITV and complained about the recent schedule shake-up, which saw the serial drama removed from air for five days.
The broadcaster postponed the beloved soap, which usually airs on weekdays, from the TV listings to make space for the FA Cup.
ITV confirmed last week that the FA Cup live coverage will be airing on ITV1 at 7:30pm instead of Corrie, with Emmerdale straight after, which is now on at the earlier time of 7 pm.
After a few days last week and now Monday’s absent instalments of the show, die-hard fans took to social media and complained about not receiving their usual dose of the soap, with one writing: “Last episode of #Corrie was on last Wednesday! Feels like ages.”
Another X(Twitter) user added: “I love the FA Cup as much as the next guy. But five nights without @itvcorrie is not acceptable. What's a man to do? #corrie.”
A third stated: “@ITV Should care more about #CoronationStreet instead of constantly putting the football on instead.

“Maybe even use one of your other channels. I would have no problem watching it on ITV2. I do have a problem when it's just taken off.#Corrie #FACup.”
Corrie fans will be delighted to learn that Monday’s episode of the popular serial will be airing tonight instead at 8 pm on ITV1.
The upcoming episode will be synching the show back to where it should be in time for Wednesday’s edition, which will return as expected.
On the last visit to the cobbles, divorce was evidently around the corner for Sarah, portrayed by Tina O'Brien and Adam Barlow, played by Sam Robertson.
After his wife's affair with Damon Hay (Ciarán Griffiths), a heartbroken Adam tried to get rid of the criminal once and for all,
Unfortunately, he was devastated to learn that Sarah was pregnant with his rival's baby.
However, for Adam, getting rid of Damon was no easy feat, and the villain soon made his way back to the village in recent scenes aired on ITV.
Damon himself tried to get Adam out of his way, but his plan was foiled.
Next week, he will be focused on rekindling his romance with Sarah.
This coming week, fans will also see Paul Foreman, played by Peter Ash, who has motor neurone disease, explaining to Todd Grimshaw, played by Gareth Pierce, the reason why he wants help with his death.
Todd refuses outright to be involved, and Paul later realises that it’s too much to ask of him.
After meeting up with Dr Gaddas, who refuses to prescribe him any morphine, Paul then calls on a sympathetic Abi Webster (Sally Carman) to help him score some drugs.
Ultimately, Abbie listens to Paul's woes but says no.
