My siblings all want me to get a 9/11 tattoo – they call me a party pooper for refusing but I don’t need that on my arm
PEER pressure is hard not to give into, but one woman said she had to put her foot down on a 9/11 tattoo.
She explained that she was disappointing her siblings by refusing to get a matching tattoo that they all wanted.
Phoebe (@itsphine), a 27-year-old TikToker, opened up about her tattoo decision in a video.
Her ten siblings, which comprise her family of eight girls and three boys, are all adults who live in Nashville, Tennessee.
Her siblings, who are all two years apart in age, all want to sport the same tattoo, except for her.
"I don't want to get that matching tattoo, and everyone's calling me a party pooper and all those things, but I'm just not getting it," she said.
She explained that her siblings had decided on the tattoo to commemorate their bond.
"Where you are in the lineup, you get tattooed on your arm, so the oldest one would get 1/11, the second oldest would get 2/11, my youngest sister has 11/11, my other little sister has 10/11," she said.
Unfortunately for Phoebe, her place of birth landed her a "9/11" tattoo.
"I'm just not super on board with that. Not that... 9/11, never forget. Haven't forgotten it," she said.
Phoebe explained that she simply didn't feel the need to have the tattoo, which could be misleading to others, permanently on her body.
"Would you get the 9/11 tattoo or am I being crazy?" she asked.
The viral video, which has garnered over a million views, amused her siblings.
“We’re all very close and all have a great sense of humor," Phoebe said to The U.S. Sun.
“It started with the youngest two. I don’t have any tattoos, so I doubt they assumed I would get it anyway!"
“In reality, only three of them have this matching tattoo, and no one is actually upset.
“They do think the TikTok is funny. My brother, who is 7/11, doesn’t have any tattoos either, and he makes jokes about him getting the 7/11 logo.”
A few viewers suggested ways for her to participate in the matching sibling tattoo in a compromise.
"I would get 11 black dots, and the 9th would be my favorite color," said one commenter.
"Something small and simple bc 'it doesn’t match the others' but rightfully so!"
"Is there time for everyone to shift to a more graphical version? Like everyone has 11 frogs, but for you, the 9th frog is shaded in, for example," suggested another.

Phoebe was impressed with the creative ideas.
"I will pitch this at the next family gathering," she replied.
