Recently, Kathryn caused discussion online as she revealed the four things in Home Bargains that aren’t worth buying.

But now, the savvy shopper, who shares tips and tricks online to help people shop smarter and save money, has revealed the five things in Lidl that she thinks aren’t worth the cash.

Kathryn claimed that the tortilla chips ‘taste like cardboard’ and the texture of the muesli is ‘weird’, however, she also revealed her favourite buys from the chain too.

She explained that the cheap jam doughnuts are ‘so good’, while the tomato soup is ‘one of the best ever’.

Sharing her thoughts on social media, Kathryn shared her clip with the caption ‘Best and worst food in Lidl! What are your thoughts?’

She then took her followers around her local Lidl, as she said: “Part two, best and worst food in Lidl.

“The best food - these 35p jam doughnuts are so good. That’s why there’s never any left when I go in to get some.

“These snack cucumbers are so good, these are great snacks for children.

“The tomato soup is literally one of the best tomato soups ever. It is so affordable and so simple.

“Milk chocolate, mint chocolate and orange [Aero dupes] - these bubbly chocolates are so good.

“The Cinnamon Squares, if you like sugary cereal, these are really, really nice.

“And these [white chocolate and cranberry] cookies are some of the best cookies I’ve ever had from a supermarket.”

However, Kathryn then revealed the foods that she isn’t a fan of, as she continued: “The worst foods - this [Simply… milk chocolate] is just so cheap. It’s cheap and it’s just terrible, I’m sorry.

“These crisps as well [tortilla chips], they just taste like cardboard. There’s nothing to them. I’d rather spend a little bit extra.

“The same goes for these [Pringle dupes]. There’s just no flavour there at all, sorry Lidl.

“This muesli, the texture is weird, the taste is weird. I don’t like it.

“The last one - these Digestives are not terrible, but they’re not great either.”

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @katsaves, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly amassed 53,600 views.

But social media users were left divided at Kat’s claims - while some couldn’t agree more, others were keen to disagree.

One person said: “Lidl’s Doritos and Pringles legit tastes like cardboard and have a weird aftertaste.”

Another added: “All rubbish food.”

Meanwhile, someone else claimed: “The cheap chocolates are good for baking though!”
