I made the garden shed into a bedroom for my goddaughter -she has to run outside to use the loo but loves her tiny home
A WOMAN has shared how she transformed the shed at the bottom of her garden into a tiny home for her goddaughter to live in.
Mum Tiffany shared her shed transformation via a video posted to her TikTok channel, where she is known as @flippymama.
Tiffany shared that her 23-year-old goddaughter had been living with her and her family to escape a "not so great situation at home" but was having to sleep on the sofa.
In order to give the goddaughter some privacy and a space of her own, Tiffany set about giving the garden shed a transformation.
Firstly, she removed all of the gardening materials that were being housed in the shed and her husband insulated the structure.
She then put down carpet, assembled her daughter's old bed frame in the room and decorated the place with flashing disco lights.

"This is the first time in years, since she was a child, that she's had her own bed to sleep in", Tiffany said.
Tiffany installed an air-conditioning unit to keep her goddaughter cool in the hot Texas summer, before her goddaughter moved all of her belongings into the cosy shed.
The mum said that she still has lots to do until the shed is complete but added that her goddaughter is "elated" with the results so far.
However, the shed is just a bedroom, meaning the goddaughter will have to run through the garden into the house if she needs the loo.
Tiffany's video has likely left many people impressed, as it has racked up over 2.8 million views on the video sharing platform.
TikTok users raced to the video's comments section to share their thoughts on the shed transformation.
One person said: "I'm kind of obsessed. I wish I had this option when I was younger"
Another person said: " I can’t let my kid see this because he will want to move into our shed…your're amazing for doing this".
A third person remarked: "A room of one’s own is the best gift."
Living in a shed is a great way to save cash for a house, if you want to move out but don't yet have the funds to be able to afford one.
As the cost of living crisis continues to bite, more and more adults are struggling to get on the property ladder and are choosing to live in their family home for longer.
The 2021 census revealed that over half of people aged 23 and under still live with their parents.
The average price of a house in the UK was £285,000 as of March 2023, and this rises to a whopping £735,254, which is completely unaffordable for many.
