I’m a 28-year-old lorry driver but get judged by men who REFUSE to believe I can park – they soon change their minds
A GLAMOROUS young woman has revealed she's constantly judged and made fun of by other men for being a truck driver.
Loredana Zainea, 28, decided to follow in her grandfather's footsteps and became a trucker.
However, the small blonde girl, from Daventry, Northamptonshire, doesn't look like your stereotypical trucker and as a result, faces prejudice in her job every day.
I have people saying I won't be able to park the truck properly.
Loredana
On International Women's Day, March 8, this incredible lady is proving everyone wrong by showing off her skills as she shines a light on women in typically male jobs.
Loredana finds her job "empowering" but her male colleagues treat her differently because of her looks and "for being a woman".
"I have people saying I won't be able to park the truck properly or they don't believe I can do the job as well as a man can," she said.

Loredana added: "However, when I jump in the cab and they see what I can do, it quickly changes their opinion of me."
Yet, it infuriates Loredana that she has to prove her skills as a trucker so her male colleagues don't judge her.
With more than five years of experience, Loredana is more than capable of handling these huge motors.
The trucker from Northamptonshire has her grandfather to thank for her lorry driving skills.
"My grandad was a trucker back in Romania and he’s my inspiration," she said.
Loredana added: "I spent most of my childhood with him and he’d take me with him on trips that weren't too far away.
"I’d get so excited to go away with him and ride in the trucks.
"He's like my angel so I wanted to make him proud and show him I’m doing something he did and how I’m brave enough to do it too."
As well as wanting to make her grandad proud, Loredana also has a passion for vehicles, so being a lorry driver is the perfect job for her.
Yet because of her young age and glamorous looks, Loredana says people don't believe she’s a trucker.
She added: "Some people find it amazing I’m a lorry driver, however, there are plenty of misogynistic men who look down on me because I’m a woman doing what they believe to be a man's job.
"I love being a young female lorry driver because it makes me feel like I can do anything I put my mind to.
"It's so empowering being out on the roads in these huge vehicles, that can weigh up to 44 tonnes.
"It's not something everyone can handle.
"I share my life as a female trucker on social media to show women can do anything men can and that I’m good at my job and don't deserve to be talked down to.
"This job has filled me with confidence and has given me the strength and ability to do whatever I want in life."
It comes after this woman revealed she is making more money than ever in a male-dominated profession.
And a study has shown that 37 per cent of teenage girls want a career in a traditionally male-dominated field.
