‘Best stuff I’ve ever used!’ Homeowner with black mould all over wall raves about £2 spray that removes it in seconds
THOUGH we might be over the worst of the wet weather, humidity can still play havoc with our homes and cause mould to appear on our walls.
If you are struggling to get mildew under control, one cleaning whizz has found the solution for you – and it costs just £2.
It can be worrying when you discover black mould in your home, especially as the household nuisance can cause some alarming health conditions.
According to the NHS, mould can increase the likelihood of respiratory infections, allergies, asthma and can even affect your immune system.
Whilst you can often remove it with a bit of bleach, it’s not always easy to get rid of – especially if you have a large patch that has suddenly appeared.
In fact, one woman begged discovered thick black mould in her bedroom and even turned to Facebook to help get rid of it.

Showing a photo of her blackened wall on the Mrs Hinch’s Cleaning Tips and Tricks group, she revealed just how far it had spread with mould leeching across her walls and baseboards.
In the caption, she then asked the 1.7 million members: “Any idea how to stop mould growing in bedroom?”
Though many people offered solutions, most came with an eye-watering price tag with expensive dehumidifiers and mould resistant paint from Dulux – worth £80.
One Facebook user, thankfully, had a far more low cost solution and discovered it whilst shopping in their local discount store.
"Killrock mould spray, from Home Bargains or B&M,” they revealed, adding: “[It is] about £1.50… spray, leave on or spray and wipe on PVC."
Perfect for getting rid of gunk on your walls and windows, the low cost spray has bleach and can be used on a large range of interior surfaces.
According to Ocado, you can even use it in your garden on sheds, balconies and plant boxes – although we would be careful not to spray it on your plants.
Others echoed this comment, saying that the mould spray was one of the best products they’d found for banishing black mould.
“Absolutely swear by this !!! Zero effort required lol. Amazing product,” added another user, with a third saying that it was the ‘best stuff I’ve ever used’.
Whilst many members of the group were eager to endorse the product, one user shared an important bit of advice about the product.
They wrote: “This is great but definitely do it in the morning first thing & leave the window open ALL DAY because it stinks to high heavens.”
Though the stellar mould spray had been available at Home Bargains and B&M, it is sadly no longer available in either.
However, you can pick up a bottle of the mould removing spray at Ocado for just £2.50 in stores or online.
