‘D-I-WHY?’ Trolls yell after woman’s trendy bathroom transformation looks like she’s thrown ‘foundation’ at the walls

A DIY lover has found her bathroom makeover brutally mocked after people insisted it looked like foundation chucked on the walls.

Homeware and fashion enthusiast only known as @allluxuryneeds took to TikTok to share transformation - however, it didn't exactly go down a treat.

According to the young woman, from Ohio, the USA, she'd used a DIY lime wash method to give her bathroom a more ''2000s restaurant'' vibe.

To achieve this, the crafts fanatic, who posts under the username @allluxuryneeds, grabbed two different pots of paint, a light brown one and a darker version.

Next, she demonstrated in the now-viral video, she poured the two paints into individual containers and dipped one paint brush so that half of it would be lighter and the other half - darker brown.

Once done, it was time to start painting - and for a lime wash effect, the DIY enthusiast went over the white walls in an X pattern.

Sharing the tutorial on social media, the woman said you needed more than one coat for it and that fellow home transformation fanatics shouldn't be scared by the initial look.

''It is trust the process type of painting,'' she explained in a follow-up clip.

All chuffed with the bathroom glow-up, which looked perfect next to the patterned tiles, as well as the chic mirror, the woman was over the moon.

''I am absolutely obsessed with how it came out - this is exactly what I was going for.

''But again, it's not for everyone and that's perfectly fine - I don't really care.''

However, the brown wall makeover was not everyone's cup of tea, as hundreds flocked to comments to slam the colour choice.

One critic said: ''Brown in a bathroom feels less than fresh.''

Another agreed, joking: ''I thought it was foundation.''

''D-I-WHY?'' someone else was totally baffled, as a fourth reckoned it looked like ''sponge painting vibes from the 90’s''.

Luckily for the young woman, whose video has so far hit a staggering 7million views, there were also plenty of those rather fond of the brown transformation.

One fan of the glow-up praised the woman for steering clear of the ''grey'' aesthetic.

''Personally I love these colors!! I'm tired of the boring gray trend. Nice job!!''

Another commented: ''I really thought I would hate it but I actually really like that.''

''Definitely not my top pick- but the end result did turn out beautiful!'' someone else hit back at the haters.
