We discovered Japan’s ‘biggest car graveyard’ with dozens of rotting motors piled up including iconic Toyota Supra
A PETROLHEAD has given a video tour of Japan's "biggest car graveyard" which boasts dozens of rotting motors, including an iconic Toyota Supra.
Sam Lucas, an Aussie expat and YouTuber living in Japan uploaded a video of the eerie site online.
Sam and his friend Daiki discovered the ghostly collection buried in the undergrowth of a former rice field.
He explained that he had been there previously but that he was unable to access the motors as they had been submerged in the water that floods such fields when they are growing.
This time, though, the earth had dried up and the crops had died off, leaving the vehicles bogged down in thick undergrowth.
He claimed that the site was "reclaimed government property" and that it is a known hub for "illegal dumping".

The first thing they spotted was an "untouched" C3 Corvette, which are worth as much as £72,000 today in good condition.
Sadly, this one was in a sorry state, with the bonnet ripped off and visible rusting in the engine bay, as well as a collapsed roof.

Many of the rest of the cars were difficult to see as a thicket of branches and weeds had completely obscured them.
Some were stacked on top of each other, often badly damaged.
There were even some bizarre vehicles, including a boat and a pair of jet skis.
A couple of the cars were stacked on a rusting metal structure and were close to falling through as it wasted away.
Plants grew through the engines of abandoned motors, which must have been sitting in place for several years.
Walking through the desolate site, the pair came across what appeared to be a steep slope but turned out to be a "mountain" of cars.
They included a stunning Toyota Supra A70, an icon of the classic car market.
First released in 1986, the Supra A70 was the first generation of the model not to be based off the same platform as the beloved Celica, achieving popularity in its own right.
It became one of Toyota's most successful cars, with over 120,000 sold worldwide, including 11,551 in the UK.
The car was discontinued in 2002 but revived as the GR SUpra in 2019 and remains in production.
Today, A70 examples are still worth as much as £49,000.
Sam said: "It's kind of really sad.
"So many cars here with good parts in them could be restored or be put into another project.
"The amount it's going to cost to clean this up is insane.
"It makes me really upset in a way."
Social media commenters certainly tended to agree.
One wrote: "You need to rescue the Corvette."

It comes after an abandoned dealership was discovered full of "foil-wrapped" cars with just two miles on the clock - and they were all the same model.
