I took a gamble and bought a van instead of a house – I had no DIY skills but it’s now my ‘stunning’ dream cottage home
A WOMAN has been flooded with praise after revealing how she converted an old tired school bus into a simply stunning dream cottage home on wheels.
The savvy woman named Josie proved that hard work does pay off...after she spent three years working away at the bus conversion.
And one look at the stunning results and it's little surprise people have gone wild for it and commended the DIY whizz on her incredible efforts.
In a clip posted to TikTok (@bus.off.with.josi), she begins by showing off the knackered bus, which features the standard blue patterned chairs and yellow poles that you commonly see on the public mode of transport.
"This year me and my dog Winnie will be travelling the UK in this little home I built for us," she says.
"I took a big risk and bought an old bus…to covert myself…with no DIY skills.

"After three years of chipping away at it, I would never have believed it would turn out like this…welcome to my cottage on wheels."
Gone are all remnant of the former bus, which have been replaces by a stunning cream and pink idyllic cottage aesthetic.
Amongst the most breathtaking features includes a dainty cream-coloured kitchen complete with light wooden worktops and all of the amenities one would need for life on the road - including an oven and hobs.
Josie's also added plenty of cupboards for storage and has given the converted bus a super cosy feel by adding a cream rug and even log burner.
The living room area is big enough for a bouclé cream L-shaped sofa, while her bedroom offers the most picturesque views of the great outdoors.
Josie captioned the post: "After the long slog of building this van conversion (totally worth it but f*** me that was loooonnnggg), this is the year I’m pulling a massive f**k off life change - moving into my home on wheels full time, and travelling the UK!
"Move in date: April 2024 !!! Eeekkkkk!"
The videos have since gone viral, racking up over 171k views and several comments from very impressed social media users.
"After 3 years of building my little home on wheels i cant wait for this to be my life. Move in date - SPRING 2024," wrote one.
A second enthused: "Stunning home..absolutely love it - love the shutters from bedroom."
A third penned: "Love the log burner."
