I’m 23 and couldn’t afford to pay rent so I built myself a tiny home in 7 months – people are blown away by it
GETTING on the property ladder is tricky enough - let alone with the cost-of-living crisis causing prices to skyrocket even further.
But one savvy 23-year-old and her partner have revealed the genius way they've saved a fortune on rent...by buying a shed and transforming it into a super stylish tiny home.
In a video shared to TikTok (@ameliawhitman10), a woman named Amelia, who documented the entire process, shows off her impressive handiwork to her social media followers.
"Shed to tiny home in 7 months doing all of the work ourselves," she says.
The DIY whizz begins by showing off the interior of the shed which has been stripped back to nothing but it's former shell.
She then shares the building process and begins by laying a trendy dark brown floor which instantly helps to modernise the shed and make it more cosy.

Next, timber frames and woodwork are added to the roof and the inside of the walls, before layers of insulation and windows are applied.
Once the woodwork is complete, each of the rooms are formed - including a stunning living area complete with leather brown sofa.
Meanwhile, the open plan kitchen features dark wooden countertops and cupboards and has all of the amenities you could ever need - including an oven and fridge freezer.
A proud Amelia then takes a quick trip down the short hallway where she keeps the washing machine, and eventually ends up at the bathroom, which has a shower, basin and toilet - not to mention plenty of storage for fresh towels.
Finally, at the end of the tiny home, there's a spacious bedroom with large double bed, along with the rustic wooden theme decor which is carried throughout the tiny build.
Amelia captioned the post: "Documenting the transformation of our house from start to finish."
It wasn't long before the post went viral, racking up a whopping 36k views and several comments from social media users up and down the country.
"It’s so cute I love it!" praised one.
A second enthused: "You guys did awesome!"
A third commented: "THIS IS SO CUTE OMG!"
Meanwhile, a fourth noted: "Awesome job!"
