Deidre was chatting to grandmother Sandra, who told how she was struggling to process her grief following the death of her granddaughter.

The 14-year-old, who was the daughter of her own daughter, sadly passed following an asthma attack.

As Sandra told of the impact of the family tragedy in depth, the This Morning camera panned to Rochelle.

She was seen dabbing tears from her eyes and blowing her nose, before she told her co-stars: "I'm so sorry.

"Oh gosh."

Meanwhile, Deirdre took the lead and offered sage advice.

She told Sandra: "There is no easy way through this.

"You can only go through grief, not around it."

Referring to Rochelle's emotion she added: "We all really, really feel for you."

She then suggested Sandra share her emotions with her spouse.

The expert also suggested the family club together for a charity event in memory of the teenager.

As the segment closed Rochelle, who is a mum of three, was clearly still struggling.

She added: "Very sorry to hear that Sandra."

Rochelle shares her brood with popstar husband Marvin Humes.

The Saturdays star and JLS singer’s mini-me’s – daughters Alaia-Mai, ten, Valentina, six, and son Blake, three – certainly have the lifestyle of their showbiz parents, too.

They enjoy everything from extravagant birthday parties to luxury holidays and even mix with the rich and famous.
