This Morning host Ben caught on camera Annie and their youngest running up to Sam in the airport, clearly overjoyed at being back together.

And Ben added an equally emotionally caption, writing: "What a weekend. In a bit of a daze but got a big old smile on my face.

"It’s started with our 'Biggun' Sam coming home from 7 months traveling.

"Can’t tell you how lovely it is having him back - and @annieshepharddesign is v v content!"

Fans rushed to comment on the sweet family moment, with one writing: "Just wonderful. I felt that mummy hug."

Another said: "Ah how lovely."

And a third added: "Watching Annie run to meet him got me."

It comes after Ben threw his former show Good Morning Britain into chaos earlier this month.

Following England's Euros loss he had been scheduled to speak to Kate Garraway and Richard Madeley live from Berlin.

Yet as former England boss Sam Allardyce, 69, and ex England player John Terry, 43, appeared on video links from their respective homes in Bolton and Surrey, Ben was nowhere to be seen.

Before the duo gave a de-brief of England's 2-1 loss against Spain in the Euro 2024 final, Kate took a cheeky dig.

She said of her former co-host: "We were also supposed to have Ben Shephard but it seems he is taking his own personal bank holiday.

"He has not got up so far this morning, we will see if we can wake him up."
