So when Phil Foden banged one into the top corner within the first 90 seconds, Arsenal fans learning the news looked crushed.

During the TNT Sports broadcast, an Arsenal fan could be seen showing those around him on his phone that City had scored.

While supporters in the crowd looked gutted, those at home were also left downhearted.

One wrote: "Never mind Arsenal."

While a second moaned: "I’ve never liked Phil Foden."

A third instantly gave up, saying: "We'll try again next season."

While another added: "Foden is looking for blood."

Things then went from bad to worse for the Gunners, as Foden added a second on just 18 minutes.
