I’m A Celeb legend tears into show calling Nigel Farage ‘boring’ and Josie Gibson ‘not very bright’
I'M A Celeb legend Edwina Currie has teared into the show by calling Nigel Farage ‘boring’ and Josie Gibson ‘not very bright’.
The 77-year-old former politician took part in the fourteenth series of the ITV programme in 2014.
Edwina has given her opinion on this year's series - and she certainly hasn't held back.
Ex UKIP leader Nigel Farages' appearance in the jungle has certainly ruffled a few feathers - however Edwina described him as "a disappointment".
Speaking with Spin Genie, she said: “We all thought he was going to be this bombastic, imaginative character.
"But he’s a disappointment to the producers and to the viewing public. It would be different if ITV had nabbed someone like Boris Johnson.

"But Nigel is simply not in Boris’ league. Boris, for all the noise is a highly educated, highly intelligent, articulate man who is always the centre of attention wherever he goes.
"Nigel Farage has turned out to be a boring old fart. He’s not acted in an entertaining way, even with the trials he’s done.
"He’s attacked them with aplomb. Like a boring dad. He’s also acting way older than his years.
"He’s disappeared into the background. He never seems to be hungry. He never seems to complain. He doesn't have any party tricks. He doesn't stand on his head. He doesn't sing. I used to yodel. I drove some of my campmates crazy with my yodelling."
The star also give her thoughts on the other stars, including presenter Josie Gibson.
She added: "The women are a big disappointment. Josie has barely been on camera.
"I’m surprised she’s a presenter on This Morning because to be a morning presenter you have to be quick and bright and she seems to be neither.
"Also when she goes into the log cabins, she’s been sharing quite negative opinions of her campmates.
"Not the best thing to do. I don’t think she’s a very bright person, though.”
Overall, she described this year's series as "dull" and thinks that it should go to "rest".
“Shows like I’m a Celeb sometimes need a rest and they can then come back for a later generation, like Big Brother has done," she said.
"Times have changed. We’re not a nation who likes to see people humiliated.
"What seemed normal years ago may now be regarded as bullying or cruel. I also think a big problem is people are comparing the viewing figures to years when we were in lockdown and didn’t have much else to do but watch.
"Also the time slot is quite late for a lot of people. Post 9pm may mean the option of naughty words but it’s not prime viewing time. Also people switched off before the show had even started due to Nigel.
“This series seems dull. Sam Thompson may be winning hearts but he’s also just bouncing around.
"Jamie Lynn constantly talking about emotions. Fred is just cooking. There’s an element of ‘do you do anything else?’”
Edwina narrowly missed out in the final when she took part in I'm A Celebrity in 2014.
The former politician was the seventh famous face to be eliminated from the show.
The final three were Melanie Sykes, Jake Quickenden and Carl "Foggy" Fogarty.
