Family pay heartbreaking tribute to mum, 52, killed in hit-and-run as she walked on M6 slip road – as man, 47, arrested
THE GRIEVING family of a "loving" gran-to-be has paid tribute after she was killed in a horror hit-and-run.
Lisa Kelsall, 52, died when she was hit by a van while walking on an M6 slip road in Cheshire at 12.15am on Tuesday.
The driver of the van, a 47-year-old man from Preston, failed to stop at the scene - but was later arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
In a statement Lisa's family said: "A Loving daughter, mother and grandmother to be, taken too soon.
"RIP Lisa Kelsall. Forever in our hearts."
Cops are now appealing to anyone who may have dashcam footage, witnessed the collision or saw Lisa's car, a white Vauxhall Mokka, traveling northbound on the M6 from Staffordshire toward Cheshire before the incident between 11.30pm on Monday 8 April.
