In the clip posted to TikTok (@lorafied), the US-based influencer and mum-of-three, who often shared her top tips and tricks on social media, says: "How to save money at any food store."

She begins by pointing out how the most expensive items in the store are usually at your eye level.

"Look at the price…and then watch it fall from £8 ($10) down to £1.50 ($2)."

She then helpfully notes: "Save up to 80% by shopping on higher or lower shelves.

Next up, the money-saving guru recommends doing most of your shopping on the outside aisle.

As she heads down the aisle, she points out: "It's when you make a turn like this one things start getting pricier.

"Stay on the outside perimeter.

"Aisles are generally more expensive."

Not stopping there, the mum-of-three explains that when it comes to seafood, it's worth skipping the fresh and heading straight to the freezer.

"You can save 20% to 40% just buying the frozen," she says.

And last but not least, Lora says that for fruit and veg, it's worth buying the whole produce not the pre-cut.

"The mark up is crazy!" she says.

"For example, pre-cut apples are five times the price of this entire bag. And pre-cut onions, 400% more."

She adds: "Your best day to shop is normally on a Wednesday - not only are they restocking on that day but most still honour the coupons from the week before."

Lora captioned the post: "GROCERY STORE HACKS: SAVE BIG AT ANY STORE.

"Did you know grocery stores change their prices throughout the day?
