A WOMAN has revealed that she is a mother to two kids, but one is just five years younger than her.

Jess, a self-proclaimed ‘feral wife’, explained that she met her partner when she was 18 and he was 34.

The brunette beauty shared that her husband had two children from previous relationships, and as a result, Jess is now a step-mum of two.

Posting on social media about the age gap between her step kids, she wrote: “Yes, I am much closer in age to my step kids than I am to my husband.”

She then explained: “I am the step-mum that is closer in age to my stepkids, than I am to my husband - their dad.

“My husband is 16 years older than me. My step-son is five years younger than me and my step-daughter is eight years younger than me.

“As you can imagine, being a middle school and a high school guy, with a step-mum that’s so close in age to you, can absolutely have its challenges, both at school and in the friend world.

“And parenting in general can be really hard, so being a part of their lives in that parental role, being close in age and being that step-parent, obviously had its obstacles as well.

“My step-daughter and I had a really great relationship through her pre-teen and teen years and I’m hoping that she’ll jump on one of these TikToks one of these days and share some of the fun stories that we have.

“Now, she’s an adult and a mum and has a beautiful, almost two-year-old grandson of ours.”

Not only this, but Jess also claimed that people will do a double take when they see her with her step-daughter.

She added: “That girl loves to make people uncomfortable and call me her mum. It makes people do a double take. We also look a lot alike.

“Our mannerisms, make-up, fake lashes, haircare, how we dress, very similar in that world.”

Jess later admitted: “I made plenty of mistakes as a parent and if my husband and I are able to conceive and have our own child, we’ll also make plenty of mistakes with that kid.

“But, that’s how you learn and grow and become a better person and a better human.”

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @thats_just_jess, has clearly left many totally stunned, as it has quickly amassed a staggering 371,300 views in just two days.

Social media users were eager to take to the comments to discuss their age gap relationships.

One person said: “My husband is 23 years older than me. He has three kids and one is older than I am. It's one of the best things ever!”

Another added: “My oldest stepson is a year younger than me, my husband and I have a 14 year age gap. Unfortunately we don't have a close bond, but I love all 3 of my step kids.”

A third commented: “My step-sister is older than my mum, lol.”

Whilst someone else shared: “My man is 17 years older than me. My step kids are also closer to my age. People think my kids are his grandkids.”

However, not everyone was as complimentary of Jess’ family lifestyle.

One troll simply penned: “Yuck.”

A second chimed in: “Yikes.”
