Giovanni's spokesman told MailOnline: "We would urge people to wait for the review's conclusion and not to pay heed to these very serious and defamatory allegations that have no evidence in support of them."

Amanda broke down in tears during an explosive interview on Channel 4 News last night, admitting being Strictly's first whistleblower has been "brutal and unforgiving".

The actress was the first to go public with her complaints about Giovanni Pernice and claimed he bullied her behind the scenes on the BBC dance show.

During her interview with news anchor Krishnan-Guru Murthy, Amanda sensationally claimed some of the alleged abuse from Gio was "of sexual nature".

Amanda admitted that she could not go into the full details about the nature of what she allegedly suffered as it is still under investigation.

But she did claim six other people came forward to say they'd had a similar experience to her.

Amanda said: “If it had just been me coming out saying all this stuff, I can understand why people go, ‘Oh God’, but there were five or six other people previously to me who had the same experience.”

Actress Amanda broke her silence on her allegations against Gio last week in an exclusive interview with The Sun on Sunday.

She said: "I found Giovanni’s behaviour unnecessary, abusive, cruel and mean. I couldn’t sit back and let him do that to other people.

“I had to think long and hard about making a complaint because I knew the backlash I would get. But I would not have been able to live with myself for future people going on that show.

“I know what happened in that room, it’s on video and I have no problem with anyone seeing that. It’s a duty of care that is needed."
