Celebrity Mastermind fans have A LOT of complaints as Gogglebox star Mica Ven takes on BBC game show
CELEBRITY Mastermind has been slammed by fans after comedian Jamie MacDonald and Gogglebox star Mica Ven joined the recent line-up.
The first episode of the popular game show returned on BBC One last month.
Fans have not received Wednesday's instalment of the BBC gameshow, hosted by TV presenter Clive Myrie Celebrity Mastermind, very well.
Show viewers complained that the names featured in the episode underperformed - and barely qualified as celebs.
During the episode, the host, Clive welcomed Gogglebox’s Mica, Dr Amir Khan, BBC newsreader Jane Hill, and comedian Jamie MacDonald onto the show.
Channel 4 star Mica introduced herself as a celebrity and chose comedian and actor Eddie Murphy as her special subject.

The stunning 44 year old, who fronted the popular reality television series for a decade, managed to gain a handful of points during her specialist questions.
Unfortunately, she didn’t have the same luck with the general knowledge segment.
However, Mica was not the only person to find the questions challenging, as news anchor Jane suffered the same fate.
The 51 year old told the show host "I'm not Brain of Britain!" after she missed a question about a popular BBC radio programme, among many others she failed to answer.
Fans noticed that the contestants were struggling and took to X(Twitter) to express how they felt about the episode with one penning: "Thicker than a whale omelette, the lot of ‘em #celebritymastermind."
Another user said: “#celebritymastermind? More like obscure vacuous mind."
A third wrote: "This is too painful to watch #celebritymastermind."
As well as complaining about the players not being the best masterminds, other viewers took to the social media platform and criticised the show for not bringing on well-known contestants.
One fan argued: "I’m sorry, but how on Earth is the bloke that masquerades as a doctor and a lady who comments on the TV show Gogglebox deemed as celebrities?"
A second typed: "Anyone spot any celebrities on #celebritymastermind this evening?"
Another quizzed: "Why does #CelebrityMastermind always forget to book any celebrities to appear on the programme? #ChristmasCountdown"
Ultimately, Dr Khan won the episode after he earned 13 points across the two rounds. He even cheekily acknowledged the low quality of his opposition as the show ended.
Collecting his trophy he expressed: "I feel like I won that on a technicality."
The BBC announced last month that Celeb Mastermind 2023 will bring a new group of 56 celebs.

The series will span over 14 weeks, during which the celebs will take on the famous black chair with their chosen specialist subjects.
Among the stars joining the series this year are actor and comedian Bobby Davro, TV cook Suzie Lee, former Olympic skier Graham Bell, and BBC Radio 1Xtra DJ Remi Burgz.
