I’M A Celebrity star Josie Gibson is the frontrunner to take over from Holly Willoughby as the host of Dancing On Ice.
ITV bosses think she would be perfect for the skating show after her jungle stint was a hit with viewers.
The new series starts in just over three weeks but Holly, 42, has yet to commit following an alleged plot to kidnap and murder her was exposed.
Josie’s down-to-earth style has also proved popular when she hosts This Morning.
A TV insider said: “Josie’s stint in the jungle shows she has the perfect blend of humility, confidence, humour and unflappability.
“And she’s already proved she’s able to handle live TV during her time as a co-host on This Morning where she’s also developed quite a following among viewers.

“ITV will be hoping she’ll bring that popularity across to Dancing On Ice, if she ends up bagging the job in Holly’s absence.
“ITV are still hoping Holly will sign up. But the situation remains up in the air and nervous producers are now counting down to the start in days rather than weeks.
“There are several figures who could fill Holly’s role but Josie very much stands out.
“Even if producers pick a potential Plan B, it will all depend on the availability of the potential candidates.”
Stephen Mulhern, 46, is widely expected to fill the role of co-host previously held by Phillip Schofield, 61.
He quit ITV earlier this year after his affair with a young male runner was exposed.
In October, Holly’s decision to step back from telly projects left ITV chiefs frustrated over who would front Dancing On Ice.
Other names said to be in the frame include fellow This Morning host Rochelle Humes, 34, whose JLS star husband Marvin, 38, was in the jungle with Josie, 38.
Also touted is Christine Bleakley, 44, who hosted Dancing On Ice with Phil from 2012 to 2014.
ITV said: “Further announcements regarding Dancing On Ice will be made in due course.”
