‘I was gatekeeping as I didn’t want it to sell out’ shoppers say over £4 Tesco dupe of viral Sol de Janeiro bum cream
A BEAUTY lover has found what she reckons is a dupe of a cult favourite Sol de Janeiro product, which smells ''identical'' to the real thing.
Unless you've been living under a rock for the last few months, you will have heard of the viral Sol de Janeiro’s Brazilian Bum Bum Cream, which has amassed a massive fanbase on social media.
The skincare product - which is actually pronounced ''boom-boom'', is loved by many beauty fans, influencers and celebs, such as Selena Gomez, Hailey Bieber and Hilary Duff.
The ''fast-absorbing body cream'', which boasts notes ''of salted caramel and pistachio'' is indeed best known for its ''addictive scent'', which has been described as ''divine''.
However, retailing at an eye-watering £28 at Boots for a 150ml container, the product is not the most budget-friendly option for millions of cash-strapped Brits.
Luckily, if you're on the lookout for a more affordable alternative that won't break the bank, consider yourself lucky, as one make-up fanatic has found what she reckons to be a ''dupe'' of the viral cream.

According to the beauty fanatic Shannon Spalding, there is a £4 skincare essential in the market that smells just like the high-end version - and it can be snapped up from your local Tesco, too.
Shannon, who said she hated the price of Sol de Janeiro and reckoned it was ''expensive'', the popular supermarket offer an ''identical-smelling'' body lotion, as well as a matching spray.
''We're gonna be Sol de Janeiro girlies without the Sol de Janeiro price tag,'' she chuckled in the video, before revealing the two bargain buys.
Sharing the budget-friendly find from the store, Shannon was raving about the Treaclemoon Brazilian Love Body Lotion, which is an astronomical £24 cheaper than the real deal.
The vegan-friendly and cruelty-free lotion has been infused with coconut and macadamia oil, creating a luxurious, ''amazing'' smell and will leave you with a radiant skin.
Meanwhile, the added shea butter is perfect for skin nourishment and extra skin smoothing.
If you want to smell like all things summer, Shannon had also found a scented spray that goes perfectly with the body lotion - Brazilian Love Fragrance Mist.
The spray, which can be ordered from the website, retails for £4.50 and boasts notes of ''creamy coconut, rich red fruits, soft white florals and musk''.
According to delighted customers, this 150ml spray, too, smells similar to the posh Sol de Janeiro range, with one rating it ''10/10''.
One mum said: ''I bought my daughter Sol de Janeiro for Christmas and she had run out already, I got her Treaclemooon Brazilian love spray and it smells just like it. Great purchase.''
Someone else left a positive review, writing: ''An exact dupe for the SDJ [Sol de Janeiro] without the hefty price tag.
''Not sure it'll be as long-lasting as the original, but great for keeping in your handbag for top ups.''
''Honestly, it's literally a need,'' Shannon couldn't stop praising the supermarket find, as others raced to comments to share their thoughts.
One TikTok user said: ''I was gatekeeping this because I didn’t want it to sell out. They have the body wash too.''
''Omg, Tesco tomorrow I go!'' another couldn't wait to get their hands on the £4 buy.

''Smells so good,'' someone else chimed in.
''The scent match is so accurate and maybe they could bring out some other dupes from Sol de Janeiro,'' a fellow beauty lover reckoned.
