I’m an interior designer and you need to ditch grey immediately – also the popular 2024 trend that’s a total nightmare
AN INTERIOR designer has revealed the three colours that you need to ditch from your home immediately.
So if you want a home that is sure to impress your guests, you’ll need to pay attention.
According to Loren Kreiss, CEO and Creative Director of Kreiss Design and Home Furnishings, grey has got to go.
Not only this, but the Los Angeles based interior whizz also shared his thoughts on peach and pink in people’s homes.
Posting on social media, Loren wrote: “Here are three paint colours to AVOID at all costs in 2024.”
He then explained: “Peach. It's somehow, someway Pantone’s colour of the year for 2024, and if you even think of using it, you've lost your damn mind.”

Loren then got candid on the colour grey, as he added: “Using it will land you in design prison, which, not coincidentally, happens to be the colour grey.
“Unless you're pairing it with an orange jumpsuit, it has no business being in your home.”
Finally, he shared his thoughts on the trend of pink interiors.
He concluded: “Pink. I can get behind an ashy blush in the right spot, but the Barbiecore pink trend is an absolute f*****g nightmare.”
The interior expert then concluded: “What do you think? Is your New Year's resolution to destroy your home by using one of these colours?”
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @lorenkreiss, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly amassed 37,300 views.
But social media users were left divided at Loren’s claims - while many agreed with him, others were quick to disagree in the comments.
One person said: “Not everyone wants a designer home. Grey is lovely.”
Another added: “I disagree that there are “bad” colours. I’m sure a talented designer could successfully incorporate ANY colour.”
To this, Loren replied and wrote: “Not really.”
A third commented: “I love grey though.”
Meanwhile, another user agreed with Loren and penned: “Agreed!! How did the peach colour get colour of the year??!!”
A second chimed in: “Peach - abomination.”
Whilst someone else beamed: “All true!”
At the same time, one user shared: “I think people should have decor that makes them happy in their space.”
