BBC Breakfast viewers send hosts ‘thoughts and prayers’ after nightmare tech blunder seconds into weather report
BBC BREAKFAST was plagued with technical blunders this morning as viewers sent their best wishes to the host.
The flagship Beeb programme was presented by Jon Kay and Sally Nugent this morning.
While the pair brought viewers the latest national news, during the show they crossed live to BBC teams across the country for the local bulletin.
Ian Wilson was standing by in studio for Look North.
After the bulletin he quickly passed over to the weather, which was presented by Lisa Gallagher.
However, just seconds into her forecast the screen started to fade to black before abruptly cutting back to Ian.

Scrambling to keep the show on the road he told viewers: "Well that was the weather."
He continued: "Let's hand back to Jon and Lisa who are in the studio right now... um, we'll probably... Something has happened to the weather obviously, clearly.
"But it's going to be quite blustery today with some showers and it's going to be something like four degrees celsius. Back to London."
Watching the scenes play out live, one BBC Breakfast viewer said: "Thoughts and prayers to Look North who had to fill time when the weather faded to black for some reason."
A second said: "Was that this morning? Isn’t it Jon and Sally presenting?! Not sure who Lisa is - he’s been watching too many ITV Saturday mornings."
"Just guessing some temperatures and generic weather. He's right though (maybe not that cold)," said a third.
While a fourth commented: "That's definitely a weather cupboard editing mishap. someone will be getting shouted at for that one."
BBC Breakfast airs daily from 6am on BBC One and iPlayer.
