‘It gave me an hourglass figure!’ Shoppers rave about M&S shapewear set to rival SKIMS but it’s so much cheaper
THANKS to Kim Kardashian making shapewear cool again, high-street stores have upped their game.
Once a limited market, women can now pick up tummy-control and figure-enhancing underwear for bargain prices in plenty of shops.
That includes Marks & Spencer’s Firm Control Cool Comfort No VPL Plunge Body.
Part of the department retailer’s Body by M&S range, women have raved how the bodysuit “gave them an hourglass figure” and “didn’t flatten” their bums.
The bodysuit is available from bra size 32A through to 42E and you can pick it up in two hues of Rose Quartz and Black.
And while the colour range isn’t as extensive as the likes of SKIMS, it’s definitely something we can overlook for the bargain price.

The M&S shapewear suit will set you back just £35 a pop, compared to the SKIMS Seamless Sculpt Brief Bodysuit at £70.
“This firm control body holds and sculpts your curves for a smooth, flattering look beneath form-fitting clothes,” M&S bosses said.
“It has a plunge neckline that's ideal for low-cut outfits, and underwired padded cups to support and lift the bust.
“The straps can be fully adjusted. Sheer stripes at the hips add feminine detail.
“Our Cool Comfort technology wicks away moisture for all-day comfort, while the No VPL design ensures a seam-free finish.”
Shoppers have hailed the shapewear “so comfortable” on the M&S website.
“I bought this item to wear underneath my dress for a wedding that I was attending,” one buyer said.
“As I was there all day I was wondering how comfortable it would be.
“Rest assured, it was so comfortable and it’s my favourite go-to when wearing a dress for other occasions.”
Another buyer raved about the bodysuits “smoothing qualities” which helped give her an “hourglass figure under a tight dress”.
A third added that “it doesn’t flatten the bum too much either”.
