My 15-minute anti-aging tip plastic surgeons love probably comes free with your gym membership, it’s great for collagen

AN anti-aging tip that is non-invasive and probably comes free with your gym membership, sounds like a very attractive prospect.

But according to one Beverly Hills plastic surgeon, it is perfectly possible, and it's one he and his peers recommend.

He suggests just a 15-minute session and it is great for collagen.

“Plastic surgeon’s anti-aging tip," said Dr Faryan Jalalabadi MD (@drjalumabody) in his post.

Since revealing his tip, his video has received 95,000 and hundreds of comments.

“How the sauna is good for your skin," he said.

He explained why, and it was nothing to get steamy about. He was advocating the dry sauna.

“[It] slows down the aging process of the skin," he said.

There was a good reason for this, and he expanded: “It improves collagen and elastin production," both important elements in holding back the years.

There was a deep cleansing element to the dry sauna, said the doctor: “It detoxifies the skin through the sweating process."

But there were even more, all-over benefits to the sauna.

“Never mind that it’s good for your heart and your lungs, it improves the circulation of blood flow to your skin.

“It releases little proteins that protect your DNA and your cells from aging by the shock of the heat," he explained.

"Every day that you do this, it is an anti-aging practice."

He did add a proviso, however. This wasn't an endurance exercise.

“You only need 15 to 20 minutes," he advised and it would be worth it.

“But you can overdo it if you do too much," he said. "If you push yourself to do 40 minutes."

That, he said, would have the opposite effect: “You’re actually going to age yourself so don't do that."

Those with melasma were urged to avoid the sauna because it would only "exacerbate your hyperpigmentation."

His final word to all those chasing eternal youth was: “Get in the sauna every day if you can.”

But several commenters said there was an easy fix to the daily sauna tip: just move to Texas.

This person's comment was typical of many more: “Free outside sauna in Houston for six months.”

This lady was already onto the case: “And this is why I invested in one for my home and do it five days out of a week.”

One person figured their monthly gym payments were worth it after all: “This is how I justify my Diamond DL membership.”

If installing a sauna or joining a gym wasn't an option, then move to the Middle East suggested this person.

“Dubai is a natural dry sauna and everybody here looks flawless. Now I understand why.”
