The ultimate Canary Island cruise for first-timers with four pools & open-air cinema – from £517pp
IF you're sailing for the first time, a cruise around the Mediterranean is the best way to test whether life at sea is for you.
We've found a P&O Canary Island cruise perfect for first-timers - and seasoned travellers alike - with seven nights costing from £517pp.
P&O Cruises is Britain's biggest cruise line, with its home port in Southampton.
Seven nights is said to be the 'sweet spot' for first-timers, as it will allow you to explore the ship and your destinations.
The Canaries are also one of Brits' favourite destinations, with nearly five million tourists coming from the UK every year, making this cruise a great option to see it in a different light.
The cruise is called 'Canary Islands from Tenerife', and it includes your flights from the UK and transfers between airports and ports.

After getting to Tenerife, the cruise will depart from Santa Cruz - the island's port city.
Once you're on board, the cruise will sail to Funchal (Madeira), La Palma, Puerto del Rosario (Fuerteventura) and back to Santa Cruz in Tenerife.
Before flying back home, you'll spend a night on board in Tenerife.
Different dates are available to sail, with the cheapest deals available in November 2024, January 2025 and even 2026.
The lowest price we've spotted is from £517pp, staying in an inside cabin on the family-friendly Azura ship.

The inside cabin is described as 'practical and pocket-friendly' and ideal for those who need a space to sleep after spending all day exploring.
The Azura can welcome up to 3,100 guests and has four swimming pools on board, with two family-friendly ones, a kid paddling pool and one for adults only.
The price includes unlimited access to all the ship's amenities, including evening entertainment with theatre shows, comedy and cabaret, sports, classes and workshops.
Plus, there will be daytime speakers and kids and teens' clubs for those aged between 2 and 17.
There are more than 10 bars and lounges, a casino, a beauty salon, a gym with a spa and steam room, a 'golf driving net', a library and even an outdoor cinema in the pool.
Your meals and snacks from the buffet and main restaurant are also included; however, eating at speciality restaurants and drinks are not.
That said, there is a flash sale with 20 per cent off the 'classic drinks package' on all bookings departing after March 2024.
The drinks package includes everything from beers, wines, spirits, fizzy drinks and prosecco.
You'll also receive a 20 per cent discount on all drinks that aren't included in the package.
To make it even better, P&O has removed all tipping onboard, so you won't have to spend a penny once you're there.
Depending on which cabin you book, you might receive free onboard spending money that can be used on spa treatments, onboard shops and dining.
