The pupil at the Canadian International School in Aberdeen claimed he was bullied by his classmates, according to a report by a Chinese-language media outlet.

The mother told media outlets that her son said he was forcibly picked up and thrown onto a bench by his classmates during recess on August 22, leaving bruises on his knees. The boy told his mother that he reportedly had been bullied for a year.

But after it reviewed security footage and interviewed relevant parties, the school told the mother that the bullying allegations were not supported, according to reports.

The mother filed a complaint to the Education Bureau after the school allegedly refused to let her view the footage.
