The Chase fans divided as Bradley Walsh snaps ‘why are you here?!’ at ‘multi-millionaire’ contestant
THE Chase presenter Bradley Walsh was left baffled during the latest instalment of the series after a contestant with a ‘jet-set lifestyle’ joined the line-up of contestants.
The retired guest, who went up against Shaun Wallace, Aka The Dark Destroyer, revealed that she would ‘throw a party’ and ‘hire a villa’ for her loved ones if she won the show.
In the episode, Bradley introduced four new players, Marcus, Sarah, Lesley and Will, into the ITV studio for a chance to beat Shaun and walk away with a huge cash prize.
As the show kicked off, 62-year-old Lesley became the third person to go head-to-head with The Dark Destroyer, but before the games started, she shared details about her lavish lifestyle.
Wondering why she would even join the show in the first place, Bradley quickly put her on the spot and questioned her about her decision to apply for The Chase.
During the chit-chat, Lesley revealed that she was previously a payroll and pensions manager but retired five years ago.

Bradley then asked her how she spends her free time, to which she replied: "I've always travelled with my husband.
"But now we've been retired for five years, so we travel even more."
Lesley then made a shocking revelation and admitted that she's travelled to 93 countries so far, visiting 24 of them last year.
A gobsmacked Bradley responded: "No, you didn't? In a year?"
She answered: "Only five countries I hadn't been to last year, so more adventurous holidays with my husband. And then I get to cruise with my twin sister."
Lesley then shared with Bradley and the audience that she had been on 45 cruises so far in her life.
An intrigued Bradley then asked the question on everyone's minds: "What have you come on here for? You've got the jet set lifestyle,” to which Lesley responded: "I wish I had."
Fans of the show were divided on their opinions about Lesley’s appearance on the show as they took to X(Twitter) and penned their thoughts with one saying: "Are you a millionaire? 24 countries in a year?"
A second added: "93 countries?? Blimey, another millionaire."
A third chimed: “#TheChase It was as if Lesley had staggered into the studio by mistake from the nearest pub/wine bar.”
Another followed: “It'll only be 23 countries for Lesley this year then. The poor woman #thechase.”
A fifth expressed: “Lesley is obviously a multi-millionaire to be able to afford all those holidays a year.
"Crikey, she's been on 45 cruises... I've only ever been on the Isle of Wight ferry!! How the other half live. #TheChase.”
Before the formal introduction ended, Bradley asked Lesley what she would do with the money if she won.
Lesley revealed that she would throw a party and hire a villa for her loved ones to come and stay in.
Unfortunately for Lesley, luck wasn’t on her side, as she failed to make it to the final chase and beat the chaser.
In the end, Marcus and Will were the only two who made it through, but they only answered 11 questions correctly, and Shaun caught them with only 43 seconds left on the clock.
Another chaser has also had to fight back but in a different manner after fans accused her of cheating on the show.
Anne Hagerty recently revealed in a new interview that throughout the years of being on the show, she has been accused of ‘all sorts of things’ but insisted there was ‘nothing secret happening’ on the ITV quiz show.

She shared during the sit-down that one of the rumours circulating was that she wears an earpiece that host Bradley is somehow wired to and influences the show's results.
Speaking out about the string of allegations, Anne rubbished the claims and revealed that the ITV gameshow is assessed by ‘independent adjudicators.’
