I get mum-shamed as I PAY my kids to get ready for school – they bound home too & it’s all thanks to my egg cup method
A MUM who pays her kids to get ready for school has hit back at trolls, insisting her method works a treat.
Kelly is a mum of three and said she's had such a battle to get her kids up, ready and into school that she's resorted to giving them a financial incentive.
"It's our first day back at school since before Christmas," she said in a video on her TikTok page.
"I just wanted to share with you this little incentive we are putting together.
"The goal is to get £2 a day."
Kelly said that they get £1 a day for getting dressed nicely, and £1 for going into school without any tantrums.

"I know £10 a week per child might seem a lot to some," she continued.
"Everyone's circumstances are different.
"We have had a real battle with school with two of my children, one of whom has not accessed education for almost two years.
"So this is me doing whatever it takes to make sure everything goes smoothly.
"They will get this at the end of the week - this is in place of any shop trips after school. Let's see how they do."
While lots of people agreed with Kelly's methods, not all the comments were positive.
"So we are now PAYING kids to go to school???" one person commented on the post.
To which Kelly replied: "Correct. If you had the struggles we had you would do the same."
"Sometimes the spending a couple of pounds is worth it!" another wrote.
"I'd happily pay a few pounds to have a quiet, positive start to the morning."
"Great idea," someone else said.
"It’s working so far they are looking forward to tomorrow," Kelly replied.
As another wrote: "I do this with my daughter if she wears her glasses for school daily and keeps a clean room daily she gets her daily money ready for Saturday .. it’s a god send."
Kelly then returned to TikTok to share another video as she responded to the comment.
"I'm actually quite shocked at how many people have messaged and said they actually do this for their children," she said.
"I did have to delete quite a few of the negative comments - what works for one does not always work for the other.
"The mornings are so much smoother now and the kids are actually looking forward to coming home and seeing how much they've got in their pot."
"I’ve just went back over your videos and I am stealing this," one person commented on that video.
"Anything for an easy life in the morning."
"Honestly it’s been a game changer for me," Kelly replied.
"Good luck!"
"That’s £40 a month. On one child," another pointed out.
But Kelly argued: "For the past 21 months we have had so many battles getting him into school.
"He's now on his second trial school and he managed, just before Christmas, to complete his first full day in school in almost two years.
"He has massive anxiety around school. He is on the spectrum somewhere.

"We have tried absolutely everything.
"So far this seems to be the only thing that's working, so I will continue."
