The bargain hunter took a look around her local Primark and shared the clip with the caption ‘RIP to the old times.’

She then asked: “Why is Primark not Primarking?”

The Primark shopper then gave her followers a close-up look around the high-street chain, showing off the items which she believed were overpriced.

She first spotted a furry grey coat from Rita Ora’s collection, which was priced at £40.

She then saw a rail of other winter coats, which were priced at £27 and £28 each.

But as the Primark shopper walked towards the middle of the store, she was even more stunned when she noticed a brown coat on a mannequin that was priced at an eye-watering £42.

And if thought that was all - think again - as the high-street shopper was also left stunned when she found grey puffer coats that were marked at £32 each.

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @user672926616, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly gone viral and has since racked up a staggering 1.2 million views.

Many Primark shoppers were equally as appalled as this social media user, and many took to the comments to express this.

One person said: “I have stopped going to Primark. It's not worth it anymore.”

Another added: “The quality has gone downhill and prices gone up.”

A third commented: “I can no longer afford to shop at Primark.”

Meanwhile, someone else claimed: “Prices are scandalous now.”

At the same time, many Primark shoppers claimed that the chain’s clothing is now priced similarly to Zara, but without the quality.

Not only this, but many compared Primark items to the quality of those found on Shein

One shopper wrote: “Primark be giving Zara prices.”

A second agreed: “They really be charging Zara prices with Shein quality.”

Whilst another penned: “Shein is my new Primark.”

As well as this, but many shoppers revealed where they now prefer to shop instead of Primark.

One fashion fan shared: “I’ve started buying in other shops like H&M and the quality is so much better.”

Another fashionista wrote: “Marks & Spencer is where it’s at now; the quality is so good for their prices!”

And a bargain hunter expressed: “All about TK Maxx at this point.”

A Primark spokesperson told Fabulous: “We work hard to offer the best value on the high street, something we know is more important than ever to our customers right now.
