Two girls may have found the answer.

Harriet and Emily have shared how they made over £1000 in one week, just for walking dogs a few hours a day.

The girls shared an insight into their earnings via a video posted to their TikTok page @thebarkpark.ldn.

From Monday - Thursday, the girls did three dog walks each day, working between 8:30am and 3pm.

They charge £15 for a one hour walk and walk between on and six dogs at a time.

On Monday they earned £210, on Tuesday, £255, on Wednesday, £210 and on Thursday, £255.

On Friday, the girls only worked between 12 and 2pm and earned £105.

In total, the girls earned £1005 for the week.

They only worked a few hours each day, so this job would be perfect for parents who need to fit their hours around the school day.

Harriet and Emily shared some tips for anyone thinking of starting their own dog walking business.

They said that they put up a lot of flyers around their local area to help them to attract customers.

The duo added that they befriended other local dog walkers and said that they recommend each other for work if one of them is unavailable.

The girls also always make sure that they have business cards with them when they're out walking the dogs, as this is a great way to get knew clients.

"We always make sure to have a business card on us rather than giving them a number", they said, "It's easier for them to remember us".

Having Instagram and TikTok accounts where they share videos of their clients' pets is also key to their business model, as the girls said that dog owners love to watch how they're dogs are doing.

Their final tip is to use Facebook community groups to promote their business, and find potential new clients.

Harriet and Emily's TikTok has clearly left many impressed, as it has racked up over 342,000 views.

TikTok users raced to the video's comments section to share their thoughts on the pair's savvy business.

One user said: "That's it, I'm becoming a dog walker."
