A third wrote: "OMG, Kath and Kim is leaving and it's not even available to buy on iTunes? Someone get Kylie Minogue on the phone immediately."

Meanwhile a fourth added: "Netflix removing Kath and Kim is quite literally the worst thing to ever happen to me."

A fellow fan of the comedy wrote: "The show leaving is a travesty."

Kath & Kim first aired on TV in 2002 and ran for four series until 2007.

There was also a TV film, Da Kath & Kim Code in 2005 and a feature film, Kath & Kimderella in 2012.

The sitcom follows Kath Day-Knight, a cheery, middle-aged surburban mother and her self-indulgent daughter Kim.

The lead characters are played by the show's creators, Jane Turner and Gina Riley.

During its run it featured many celebrity guest stars including Kylie Minogue, Michael Buble and the late Shane Warne.
