Netflix viewers ‘can’t sleep’ after watching terrifying horror film
HORROR fans have been left terrified by the latest film to drop on Netflix.
The Lodge was released in 2019, but many claimed to have "missed" seeing it altogether until it arrived on the site.
The plot involves a future step-mum, played by Riley Keough, who gets snowed in with her fiance's two children.
Their relationship appears strained at first, but "strange and frightening events" begin to happen - and it threatens to "summon psychological demons from her strict religious childhood".
Viewers have called it "the scariest film in recent years" and they've been unable to sleep afterwards as it's "messed with their heads".
One said: "Loved it! The more dark, depressing, and fucked up the movie is, the more I tend to enjoy it. It’s a very fun watch because you slowly figure out what is going on as the movie progresses and not every viewer is going to have that “aha” moment at the same time."

Another added: "That messed with my head a bit. Good movie."
Someone else said: "Released in 2019 and I never heard of it, until it popped up on my feed this week.
"I love when horror movies completely catch me off guard. This one did that in a major way. Very dark, atmospheric, unsettling, shocking and very unpredictable. And trust me, after the credits roll you'll need a coupe of minutes to think about wtf happened and who exactly is/are the victim(s) and who's to blame. And great acting! Highly recommend it!"
The Lodge is available to stream on Netflix now.
