Soft play centre shows how they clean their ball pit balls once a week, and it’s leaving people stunned
A SOFT play centre has left people stunned after showing how they clean the balls in their ball pit.
The Kid Clubhouse is a 14,000 sq ft multi-level indoor playground in Springboro, Ohio, with a ninja course, party rooms and interactive game floor.
The venue regularly posts on their social media pages, and recently shared an Instagram video in which they demonstrated how they maintain a clean ball pit.
In the clip, a black and blue machine was seen sucking up the balls through one tube.
The balls were then put through a soapy cleaning mixture, and dried off, before another tube pelted them back into the pit.
A fold up table was placed between the two sections of the ball pit to keep the clean and dirty balls apart.

Similar machines, capable of cleaning up to 15,000 balls an hour, sell for around £5,000.
And the comments section on the Instagram video was quickly filled with remarks from people admitting they had no idea that's how the balls were cleaned.
"Audibly went, 'so THAT’S how they do it!'" one wrote.
"Because I’ve wondered how these ball pits are supposed to stay clean (everywhere, not just this particular place)."
"I’m just happy to find out they actually get cleaned," another added.
To which the soft play centre replied: "Of course! We wouldn’t have it any other way!"
When asked how often the balls are cleaned, they responded: "About every week!
"It takes 2ish hours from start to finish and has to be done late at night after close.
"So we do it when it fits best with our staff schedules."
"This should be a requirement for all ballpit areas," someone else said.
"This actually makes me feel so relieved. Ball pits can get super nasty," another added.
"Now this is so dope! I don’t think this is a universal practice," someone else said.
"Good for y’all!"
"I feel SO much better after seeing there is a whole machine for them and everything," another wrote.
As someone else admitted: "They NEVER did this at Chuck E. Cheese back in the day when I worked there.
"And that’s why I never took my son there when I became a mother!"
"Very nice, Legoland needs to take a page out of this book," someone else sighed.
"Oh my gosh we wondered how you could clean all that!" another wrote.
